Overview

La Focacceria is a must-visit Italian eatery nestled in the heart of Berlin’s vibrant Fehrbelliner Strasse. Known for its authentic Roman focaccia, this spot delivers a delightful taste of Italy through simple yet expertly crafted dishes. The star here is undoubtedly the focaccia bread—light, fluffy, and generously seasoned with olive oil and oregano—that forms the foundation for an array of inventive toppings, from traditional marinara with garlic and oregano to more indulgent options like spicy salami or tender prosciutto with mushrooms.

The menu also includes satisfying pasta dishes such as cannelloni ricotta e spinaci and classic lasagna bolognese, providing hearty options beyond their signature focaccia and pizza slices. Vegetarian and vegan diners will find ample choices, underscoring La Focacceria’s appeal as a versatile destination for diverse palates. The pizza, noted for its crisp crust and well-balanced flavors, complements the focaccia perfectly and invites guests to mix and match slices for a fuller experience.

The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with a charming outdoor seating area that’s ideal for soaking up Berlin’s neighborhood vibes, especially during warmer months. It’s a popular spot for locals and families looking for quick, flavorful Italian fare without pretense. Service is swift, allowing for a relaxed yet efficient dining experience, although a warmer touch from staff might enhance hospitality further.

While the drink selection is somewhat limited, the value and quality of the food more than make up for it. The pricing remains reasonable, encouraging guests to experiment with multiple focaccia varieties or pair them with pasta for a satisfying meal. Cash payment keeps the transaction simple, typical of many small, authentic European eateries.

In summary, La Focacceria stands out as a hidden gem that brings authentic Roman flavors to Berlin. It caters to comfort food seekers, vegetarians, vegans, and families alike, all drawn by the irresistible focaccia dough and an inviting communal space that reflects the lively spirit of the city. For anyone craving genuine Italian street food with quick service and a casual ambiance, La Focacceria is well worth the visit.

Food Quality: very good tasty dough. Its super light and fluffy, and tastes very good. Several choices of toppings available, but I was a bit disappointed that in some cases they dont have enough cheese (just a bit sprinkled on top) The 4 cheeses one being the exception as it is fully covered in cheese and very recommendable. Portions: you will need to order 2 for sure. But this gives you the benefit of ordering different types. Drinks: lacking quite a bit. Most of the fridge was empty, only having 2-3 options at the time. Price: $ quite decent price per slice. Service: could be friendlier, but at least it is very fast. Atmosphere: nice to sit outside. Highlights: the focaccia dough is very good. Things to improve: maybe a few more options in the toppings and definitely the drinks. Payment Method: cash only

This is one of my go-to Berlin cheap eats. A slice of the margherita pizza and a piece of focaccia is enough for a small meal, under 5 bucks! I love the neighborhood vibe and spending summer and fall evenings eating on the sidewalk tables. The people working here are really nice which is a bonus. The pizza here is just how I prefer: crispy and salty and there are lots of choices for vegetarians. This is totally my Berlin comfort food!

We found this place while doing our research before we arrived in Berlin, needless to say that it was worth the special trip. We had a Focaccia selection, caprice salad and lasagne all of which were fresh and tasty. This place is a little gem and a must to visit

This place is just amazing. The staff is friendly and the food is so delicious. You can have these tasty crispy focaccias in 5,7,9 euros based on how many you take. We just love everything about this outlet.

Delicious focaccia, lovely bubbles in the dough and salted at the right level. Staff here were super friendly to me. I understand how they get busy and mix up pizzas but in my case it was a short wait. I just have so much respect for the way they work! Also, funny to read the reviews of Germans thinking it’s pizza or that there should be hollandaise sauce. I want to drink coffee here next time! Grazie Mille
